What is uniTED. Jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a custom sized clasp-less jewelry that is welded right on you. It is done in 3 simple steps - choose your chain, adjust the fit, and zap it on! The entire process takes less than 15 minutes! You never have to take it off, but can easily remove it with scissors whenever you decide.
Depending on your lifestyle and material chosen, you can wear your jewelry for years to come. Even though pieces are considered permanent, they are not indestructible. We use dainty chains, please be mindful to not snag or tug at your piece or they may break. We offer repairs on a case by case basis. Can I remove my piece by myself?
Yes! All you have to do is find the jump ring and cut it off with scissors or if you're not comfortable we are happy to assist. If you change your mind, we are happy to re-weld your piece back on for a small fee.
Can I wear my jewelry in the shower or while swimming?
Yes, the pieces are perfect for everyday wear. They can handle water and sweat without tarnishing. Gold filled and solid white gold will wear faster from exposure to chemicals (like chlorine) so be conscious before swimming. Review our jewelry care page for more information.
What if I need to get an MRI?
Please consult with your doctor first but all ferrous metals must be removed before your MRI. You can check your jewelry by using a magnet. If the magnet connects to the jewelry, then it will need to be removed. Gold and sterling silver are non-ferrous metals.
How do I care for / clean my piece?
Gently wipe with a microfiber towel regularly. When needed, you can clean your jewelry with warm water, a gentle bristle brush and mild soap. Jewelry polishing cloth also works great to add that extra shine.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer a 90 day guarantee on all our welds. If your piece breaks at the weld, we will weld it back on for free. After the 90 days, we can re-weld for a small fee.
